No one suffers alone. As humans we are connected to others, and when we hurt, someone else hurts.
Kevin never knew dating me was going to come with illness and hurt in our family. He thought I was healthy. I was taking care of myself on a plant-based diet for over a decade.
As time passed, he learned how sick I was and it gravely affected our family—when I say the worst fear of failing as a first time mom came true for us, it did. I was on a 72 hour mandatory lockdown hold (against my will) on the first new year’s eve my son was in this world.
The part I never share is that my husband, Kevin, had to take on the role of mom and dad. Caleb was immediately taken off breastmilk and since Kevin knew I was plant-based, he tried soymilk formula, thinking it was better.
Caleb refused and at least got on cow milk formula.
At 5.5 months old, Caleb abruptly stop nursing. One day breastmilk. The next day formula. He also was with me 24/7 and now saw me 30 minutes a day while I was in the hospital.
Then at 6 months, Caleb was away from me for a month while I went into an eating disorder intensive outpatient therapy for 10+ hours a day.
This is our real-life painful history.
It’s not glorifying to share. But it’s a painful enough story for me to share to bring you hope. That YOU can heal. That YOU can change.
Switching from a plant-based diet to an all-meat Carnivore diet changed my life. I don’t share for fun. I share because I found a gem that changed my life. And now with deep immense gratitude, I want to give back so others can find this gem too.
No one in government, healthcare or pharma will really care for your health. It’s time you take matters into your own hands and fight for better.
Our story is painful. We hope it brings you encouragement to FIGHT for better, for healthier and for more. It is our God-given right to live our best life.
Healing is possible. Change is possible. Fight for it every single moment, every single meal.
