Microblog: Fasting Series – Expedite Gut Healing

How can we expedite healing?
šMeat heals. Thereās no question about it. But if we are coming to the carnivore diet with compromised health, thereās nothing wrong with jumpstarting the process to healing, in tandem with the Carnivore diet.
š¤If you suffer(ed) with IBS, Crohnās, leaky gut, SIBO, candida, gut dysbiosis, autoimmune, food intolerances, brain fog, hormone imbalanceāyour gut health and digestive health may need additional support.
ā¬ļøMost of us have low stomach acid. This means we are not breaking down our foods properly. While eating mostly meat and fat, we may need to take digestive enzymes and HCl (stomach acid) with meals to help break down the food and absorb the nutrients.
šA gut healing protocol in tandem with a carnivorous diet can help expedite the healing process. Supplements like digestive enzymes, bile salts, HCl, spore probiotics, L-glutamine, ACV, charcoal, bentonite clay, diatomaceous earth and gut repairing supplements can further support the healing process.ā
š”The gut is the foundation of our health. The gut is where we process, break down and absorb nutrients. Any imbalance in this process will ultimately affect our health.ā
š½Another way to heal more expeditiously is through fasting.ā
š§©This is why I incorporate extended fasts. I was one of those calorie-restricting, yoyo dieters. The only way I know how to feel full is with the stomach stretch receptor. With Carnivore, I initially felt full after a few ounces but I kept pushing my limits, I probably stretched my stomach, especially doing OMAD. CCK and PYY arenāt doing it for me because of all the years of gut damage and low-fat dieting, causing my gallbladder to be sluggish with the bile.ā
š„©I probably will be forever carnivore but I also recognize that I need to further support my digestive health, gut health and my endocrine system (hormones) in the interim.ā
š¤I can eat carnivore and heal overtime, but Iām human and live in the times of instant gratification. If I can expedite the process in a healthy way, why wouldnāt I?
