We hear a lot about how eating only lean meats will get you weight loss.
🤷🏻♀️Sure, because the caloric intake is incredibly low.
⚠️But you risk hormone function, especially steroid hormones (hormones derived from cholesterol).
💊Now you can always take exogenous hormones (which comes with risks and is not my preferred recommended method).
🍃Now even plants and fibrous plants turn into short chain FATTY ACIDS. But you don’t get much fat or any kind with only lean meats.
⭐️If you want to lose weight in a more sustainable way and a therapeutic long term way, being in a ketogenic state is ideal.
◼️If you always end up back at square one with diet experimentations and new diet flavors of the month— it’s not working.
🚩And if diet advocates and experts are always trying new flavors of the month, that should be a red flag.
👑Consistency is king. And so should most recommendations even with subtle nuances.
⛑Find what you can do long term but short term weight loss tricks are never the answer.
