Microblog: Spotlight Sunday Is with @theketocolombian

On Sundays, I spotlight one of your inspirational carnivore stories to share with the community. It takes a village and in this case, it’s this amazing tribe.⠀

🔦Spotlight Sunday is with @theketocolombian. I was always impressed with his vulnerable and beautiful shares of the Mindset component during the full #Carnivore75Hard community challenge. If you see my stories, I’m sure you’ve seen his shares.⠀

I started keto in April of 2018 in hopes to just feel better and not so weighed down. I jumped right in and didn’t look back. In May of 2019, I saw @doctorfitandfabulous put up a 30 day carnivore challenge and I was all over it!⠀

WHAT CARNIVORE HAS HEALED:⠀
🥩 DIGESTION – I noticed I was suffering from zero digestive issues, zero stomach aches, no running trips to the bathroom. When I was doing keto, I was eating a lot of greens and salads because that’s what I thought you were supposed to do, but my stomach did not agree with those at all! I thought it was because I was illuminating other foods, but after the carnivore challenge I realize it was all the greens and oxalates.⠀

🥩 NEVER SICK – Since keto and now carnivore, I haven’t been sick at all. Maybe a small cold, but that’s it. I have not had to take any form of pain relievers, aspirin, anything since April 2018.⠀

🥩 FASTING – I have incorporated intermittent fasting since May of 2018 and i have been solid every day since then with 1 or 2 extended fasts per month.⠀

TIPS FOR GOING MEAT-BASED⠀
1️⃣ CLEAN OUT THE KITCHEN: Out of sight, out of mind for anything sweet! I put anything I had away during the 75 hard.⠀

2️⃣ WATER: Drink water all the time.⠀

3️⃣ OMAD: Eating one amazing meal of steak and eggs or whatever meats you’re eating that day! I literally look forward to a ribeye 4-5 days per week then throw in a different cut or burger or something else in there. Huge fan of BBQ.⠀

🐄Some say these are just anecdotal stories. I say, maybe. But there’s no harm in trying carnivore. Try it. Worse case, you can always go back to your present diet. Or you may join our tribe and be part of the “not-valid- science,” body of anecdotal stories that #meatheals
